“A crucial step in my design process involves developing colours and textures to substantiate the feasibility from mind to fabric. In turn, I formulated a turmeric dye, which alongside a sublimation of natural leaves and coins in sunlight, helped assess the colorfastness of the dye onto 100% silk and cotton samples.”

Born from the synergy between the hustle and bustle of urban landscapes and the fluid geometry that lies in the quotidian corners of a metropolis. This collection intersects the adaptability needed for everyday life in the city, from sporadic weather changes to uneven terrain, change awaits each step forward. Utilising upcycling as a means of rebirth: the wearer moves out of mundanity whilst carrying forward the textural essences surrounding them.
My inspiration for this project was compiled from a series of images i captured on my travels back home in autumn 2023: from graffiti to urban landsscapes to walls and galleries where i took inspiratkon from geometric and detailed forms that lie hidden in thge archictecture of the citties of Copenhagen and London.
I collated all my sources of inspiration into a concept board, filled with textile references and an adapted colour wheel that reflects the mundane hues of urban life between London and Copenhagen.
